Box Office

The festival box office will be located again this year in Marx Meadow – off of JFK in between 25th and 30th Avenue.


You will be able to drive into the park at Fulton St. and 30th Avenue and park along JFK until Thursday at 8pm to pick up your tickets. After that you must access the Box Office on foot.

Do not try and pick up your tickets before Wednesday, 8/6 at 12pm. You will be turned away.


Getting To The Festival

With extremely limited parking inside the Park and in the surrounding neighborhoods, we strongly encourage you to take public or alternate means of transportation. People with mobility disabilities should read the Access Info Guide regarding the most accessible way to enter the festival.


There is no overnight parking allowed inside of Golden Gate Park, and camping in the city of San Francisco is prohibited (San Francisco Park Code, Article 3, Section 3.12).


Camping, glass containers, alcohol and drugs are prohibited at Ocean Beach.


3-Day Shuttle Pass - $45.00

As mentioned, parking is extremely limited around the Park.  So for your convenience, Outside Lands is proud to offer a pre-paid shuttle service from the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in the heart of San Francisco to the south entrance of Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park.  The shuttles are coach style buses that offer a comfortable ride to and from the festival each day.


The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium is located next to Civic Center Plaza, near BART, MUNI, and Caltrain stops. We suggest taking public transportation to The Bill Graham Civic, as parking is not included in the price of your shuttle pass.  If you do drive, parking is available in the Civic Center Parking Garage adjacent to The Bill Graham Civic for a fee.  The garage entrance is off McAllister Street between Polk Street and Larkin Street.


The cost of the 3-Day Shuttle Pass is $45.00 and does not include admission to the festival. You can get your 3-Day Shuttle Pass separately or add it to your festival ticket order during checkout.  Please be aware that shuttle passes are limited and pricing is subject to change.


Shuttle hours:  Shuttles begin running each day at 11am and run continuously all day with limited coverage from 5pm-8pm.  Last shuttle leaves the festival site at 12am each night.

Take BART to Civic Center Station (rates vary from location)

From McAllister Street and Jones Street, take Muni Bus #5 to 25th Avenue and Fulton Street

Take the AC Transit Transbay Express or F Line across the Bay Bridge

From Transbay Terminal walk to Montgomery Street Station

Take Muni Line N to 19th Avenue and Judah Street ($2.00)

Walk north on 19th Avenue to Golden Gate Park

Take Golden Gate Transit Bus #70/80 to Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza

Board Muni Bus #28

The #28 will take you into Golden Gate Park

By Bicycle

Enter the Park at the 30th Avenue and Fulton Street entrance. Make a left, and you'll see Marx Meadow, where you can park your bike.


Outside Lands will be providing a complimentary Bike Valet Parking service at Golden Gate Park. Think of it like a coat check for bikes—you don’t need to worry about the safety of your bike while you're out enjoying the music, just park your bike in the morning and then turn in your claim check when you’re heading home. Additional bike racks will be set up around the Park for you if you bring your own lock.


By Foot

If you're entering the park from the South, you can enter at 25th Avenue and Lincoln Avenue. Go to your left and bear right onto Middle Drive. There, you'll be able to access the south gate of the festival.


If you're entering the Park from the North, you can enter at 30th Avenue and Fulton Street and enter straight into Lindley Meadow. You can also enter on 36th Avenue and Fulton Street and enter at the north gate by the Polo Field.


What You Can Bring

  • Blankets
  • Soft-sided coolers no larger than a 12-pack size
  • Regular-size/unframed backpacks
  • Two factory-sealed water bottles up to 1 liter each
  • Empty Camelbak or other empty plastic container (i.e., Nalgene bottle)
  • Ice in soft-sided cooler or Camelbak - no large bags allowed
  • Binoculars
  • Personal cameras with a detachable lens 2 inches or shorter
  • Totems (Must be no taller than 6ft, and no thicker than 1/2 inch. Must be made of light material: swim noodles, foam type material, cardboard tubes, fabric, string, yarn, light plastic, balloons and/or blow up items. Totems made of wood, metal and/or PVC material will NOT be allowed. This includes flap poles and heavy sticks.)

  • Bicycles inside Festival grounds (bike racks are available along JFK from Transverse to Stow Lake and at the bike valet located at Transverse and Overlook)

  • Instruments and laser pointers
  • Umbrellas
  • Picnic baskets
  • Lawn furniture
  • Chairs of any kind
  • Large or hard-sided coolers
  • Tents
  • Pets (Except animals that assist people with disabilities. Important to read Service and Support Animal Policy & Procedures.)
  • Video equipment - no video recording will be allowed
  • Professional still camera equipment with a detachable lens longer than 2 inches, tripods, big zooms, or commercial use rigs
  • Audio recording equipment
  • No illegal vending is permitted - no unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed


Food Options

Reasonably priced food (including vegetarian/vegan options) and drinks will be available on-site. More information about the food vendors and options will be released in upcoming weeks.



Our primary goal is to create a safe and secure environment for all festival attendees. To ensure this, there will be on-site security provided by local police and private security companies. If you're experiencing any problems whatsoever, locate a festival staff member, security guard, or police officer.



Rock Medicine will be on-site to help you with any type of medical problem. If you need assistance, go to the medical tent, or look for a police officer or festival staff member. Rock Medicine has been providing medical services at concerts for 35 years.



There will be a number of ATMs located at the festival. Their locations will be marked on the map you receive when you enter the site.


Locker Rentals

Don't feel like carrying your stuff all day? For the second year, we will have lockers at Outside Lands, so you can secure your belongings while at the festival. More info on how to purchase lockers will be posted in the coming weeks!
