TASTE OF THE BAY AREA, WINE LANDS AND BEER LANDS LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT
Outside Lands, the world's only gourmet music festival, announces its food and drink lineup today, giving ample time for your menu strategy. Between A Taste of the Bay Area, Wine Lands, Beer Lands, Outside Lambs and Choco Lands (info coming soon) you will find more than 200 food and drink options, each epitomizing why Northern California's culinary scene is among the nation's best.
For the weekend traveler seeking the ultimate culinary tour of San Francisco, the person who keeps up on every cult-worthy dining destination in the Bay Area, or simply the hungry music-lover needing to refuel between shows, there is Outside Lands' A Taste of the Bay Area. New additions include Rich Table, one of the city's hottest restaurants for its take on seasonal American cooking; Italian stalwart il Cane Rosso; 1300 on Fillmore, renowned for its modern comfort food that riffs on its home in the city's live music district; Wise Sons Deli, which exceeds bubbe's expectations of quality Jewish deli meats; Freshroll Vietnamese Rolls and Bowls with authentic Vietnamese dishes; Nopalito, lauded for its take on Mexican via the local, organic and sustainable and Escape From New York with creative takes on New York style pizza.
Cravings for Korean tacos, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, izakaya fare, West Coast sustainable seafood, American comfort food or carnival-inspired bites are covered with returning favorites Namu Street Food , Del Popolo, Nombe, Pacific Catch, American Grilled Cheese Kitchen, 4505 Meats and Straw. New trucks rolling into Outside Lands include Kung Fu Tacos, Asian inspired tacos, Rib Whip, the city's first gourmet mid-western food truck with a smoker on board, and The Chairman Truck, known for its artistic design and Chinese street food. Full Belly Farm will also be serving fresh organic produce at Farm Lands, the festival's farmers' market, made complete with hay bales. For a jolt after the food coma, there are java connoisseurs, Blue Bottle Coffee Co. and Trouble Coffee Company, both new to the festival.

Wine Lands, the summer's most dynamic wine tasting, is led by Peter Eastlake, a Food & Wine magazine "Sommelier of the Year: 2013" and sees 36 winemakers uncorking 120 wines. 36 of the festival's wineries are announced today. California winemakers are celebrated to the fullest under Wine Lands' ornate, burgundy and gold tent, found in the Hellman Hollow Field and adorned with chandelier lights inspired by grapevines. Guests can chat with winemakers, sip a new find within an oversized wine barrel, or settle in at Wine Lands' outdoor Courtyard, which has picnic tables, wine barrels, and a 1920s vintage sink with wine on tap.
This year's exciting newcomers include Scharffenberger Cellars, serving biodynamic, estate-grown sparkling wines from an oversized canoe; Forlorn Hope, an up-and-comer by Matthew Rorick; Hartley-Ostini Hitching Post Wines by Frank Ostini; In Pursuit of Balance, an initiative co-founded by Rajat Parr; rock star wine importer Charles Neal with Charles Neal Selections; Berkeley's Broc Cellars, and Shebang by Bedrock Wine Co., producing some of California's best reds. A few of the returning standouts in 2013 are Long Meadow Ranch Winery & Farmstead with organic Napa Valley kegged wine served both inside the tent and from the kitchen sink in the Courtyard, Turley Cellars, Scribe, Scholium Project, and Summer of Riesling with Paul Grieco.
After a huge success in 2012, we're happy to welcome back J.
Lohr Vineyards & Wines as our official premium wine partner at Outside
Lands again this year! With over 40 years of experience growing and crafting

County, will be available throughout the entire festival. So grab a glass
between sets, before rocking out at the next stage. Looking for a more
intimate experience? Join J. Lohr at Wine Lands to taste from a selection
of J. Lohr Vineyard Series wines and get the chance to mingle with the

Beer Lands, one of last year's most loved new components, officially lays down roots at Outside Lands in the Lindley Meadow, returning for the second year with a lineup curated by Dave McLean, Owner of San Francisco's Magnolia Gastropub and Brewery and Alembic Bar. Born for the job, McLean makes some of the best beer in San Francisco and well understands the awesome combination of beer and music - he fell in love with Northern California beers at Grateful Dead concerts back in the day.
Beer Lands brings in 16 breweries, seven of which call San Francisco home, for a total of 32 beers that underscore Northern California's ever-growing and incredible craft beer movement. In year two, Beer Lands welcomes the city's Social Kitchen & Brewery and Almanac Brewing Co. as well as Concord's Ale Industries. These newcomers join returning and reputable small batch brewers like Linden Street, 21st Amendment, and Pacific Brewing Laboratory. For a crisp, gluten-free option there is Strongbow Hard Cider by Bulmers Cider Company. One of the country's foremost craft breweries, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., will also return to Beer Lands and Brewer Terence Sullivan will bring Beer Camp back to the Hellman Hollow Field where Sierra, along with its special festival brew, the Outside Lands Saison, will be on tap from the signature Beer Camp Van.

THANK YOU
Thank you to all of the incredible artists, fans and staff who made last year so crazy awesome!
"More than a cookie-cutter American rock festival, Outside Lands takes advantage of its setting in Golden Gate Park by pointedly celebrating all that is the Bay Area. It's a strategy that really makes the event, now in its fifth year, stand apart from any other festival in its class...Outside Lands featured an expanded palette of food and beverage options that made eating and drinking at the festival just as much fun as listening and dancing."
-Rolling Stone
"The quality of music was at least equivalent to that at other regional festivals, though with its amenities Outside Lands may become an international destination like the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival...Outside Lands' food fair offers a carnival of excess. Need chocolate-coated caramel corn? Visit Choco Lands. Craft beer? Beer Lands. Fire-roasted oysters, fried-chicken-and-waffles, shrimp ceviche? Yep. Chef and restaurateur Michael Mina, of this city's eponymous four-star establishment, served up a variety of lamb dishes. We're a long way from dirty-water hot dogs and warm beer."
-Wall Street Journal
"Deciding to escape Los Angeles for three days of Outside Lands in San Francisco was a no brainer; managing to escape Los Angeles during a crazy forecasted heat wave in exchange for three days of sweater weather, outstanding music, craft beer, red wine a-plenty and gourmet food in Golden Gate Park was nothing short of a blessing of earth's greatest delights."
-Filter
"The fifth annual festival ignited Golden Gate Park without a hitch this past weekend, and we're still reliving the finest moments in all their glory. From Metallica's good old-fashioned 90s-style mosh pit and Skrillex's face-meltingly epic light show (who knew?) to the amount of times we said "Outside Lambs" and that amazing little hidden stage tucked behind Choco Lands, 2012 just may have been the best year yet. Only 361 days to go until next year. You can bet we're counting down the minutes."
