OUTSIDE LANDS ACCESSIBILITY (ADA) INFORMATION

Festival Grounds

Outside Lands takes place in Golden Gate Park. It is a gorgeous site. As in any outdoor setting you will encounter various types of terrain. At Outside Lands that includes sandy pathways, dirt roads, paved roads and grassy fields Understand, Outside Lands is a large site. So please, plan accordingly as there are some distances to be covered to get to all of the areas and stages on the site.

Access Tent

Access Tent hours are from gates open until gates close. The Access Tent is located inside the entrance at 36th and JFK Drive. The access tent is where guests with disabilities can come to get information and request services.

Entering the Festival

All entrances are accessible. The entrance at 36th and JFK Drive has a limited amount of accessible parking.

Drop Off / Pick Up: Patrons with disabilities wishing to be dropped off or picked up at the festival must enter the park at 36th and Fulton and will be directed to the Access Entrance to the festival on 36th and JFK. Please look for the sign with the wheelchair symbol and stop there to talk with event staff and indicate the need for a drop off or pick up at the Access Entrance to the festival at 36th and JFK.

Accessible Viewing Platforms

Outside Lands will provide elevated Accessible Viewing Platforms at the Sutro, Twin Peaks and Lands End stages. These accessible viewing platforms are for guests who use wheelchairs, have significant mobility disabilities, or who have difficulty standing for long periods of time. Banquet style folding chairs are available at all viewing platforms. Staff will manage the viewing platform accordingly to ensure all patrons are comfortable during busy times.

Golf Carts

We do have a golf cart shuttle system to get patrons with mobility impairments to our viewing platforms. Our golf carts only travel to and from the accessible viewing platforms and the access center. Additional rules and guidelines, for golf cart shuttles will be disseminated on-site for patrons who might require this service.

Accessible Restrooms

There will be accessible restrooms or accessible porta-johns in all areas throughout the festival grounds.

Prescription Medicines and Special Dietary Needs Prescriptions must have a prescription label. Photo ID must match the prescription label. Guests needing a cool place to store their medicines should contact: access@sfoutsidelands.com to make those arrangements.

If a patron has special medical dietary restrictions, a personal amount of food will be allowed in if accompanied by a doctor’s note. Please contact access@sfoutsidelands.com with any questions or concerns.

Interpreting Services

Please make your requests as early as possible, and no later than 4 weeks prior to Outside Lands. Send request to access@sfoutsidelands.com

Service Animals:

Please understand, service animals are allowed, all other dogs are not! Please note that all service dogs, including those from out of state are subject to local dog ordinances, which includes a valid rabies certificate.

Service Animal Procedures:

All patrons with disabilities attending Outside Lands with a service animal will need to have that animal credentialed by Outside Lands access staff before entering the gate at 36th and JFK Drive. Once you arrive at the 36th and JFK gate an access staff member will speak with you record your information and provide a collar tag for your service animal. Security/Staff will be on the lookout for all animals to have an Outside Lands collar tag.
