There are multiple stations inside the city, and the closest station stop to the park is the San Francisco Civic Center (SFV) which is a 17 minute drive.

By Air

The Greyhound station stop in San Francisco is just a 19 minute drive to the park.


With extremely limited parking inside the Park and in the surrounding neighborhoods, we strongly encourage you to take public or alternate means of transportation. People with mobility disabilities should read the Access Info Guide regarding the most accessible way to enter the festival.

There is no overnight parking allowed inside of Golden Gate Park, and camping in the city of San Francisco is prohibited (San Francisco Park Code, Article 3, Section 3.12).

Camping, glass containers, alcohol and drugs are prohibited at Ocean Beach.


Parking is extremely limited around Golden Gate Park. For your convenience, Outside Lands is proud to offer a pre-paid shuttle service from the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in the heart of San Francisco to the south entrance of Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park. The shuttles are coach style buses that offer a comfortable ride to and from the festival each day.

Shuttles begin running each day at 11AM and run continuously all day with limited coverage from 5-8PM. Last shuttle leaves the festival site at 11:30PM on Friday and Saturday and 11PM on Sunday.

The cost of the 3-DAY Shuttle Pass is $48.00 and does not include admission to the festival.


To accommodate heavy ridership during the annual Outside Lands Music Festival, the Muni Metro Subway will remain open to transport event participants to and from the event throughout this weekend. Muni will provide additional service on the N Judah, 5 Fulton and 5R Fulton Rapid. Each night of the festival, Muni will also provide 5X Fulton Express service from Golden Gate Park to Civic Center Station. For information about the additional Muni service, visit .

Regular Adult cash fare is $2.75. (If using MuniMobile or Clipper, it’s $2.50.)

Within San Francisco city limits, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) provides transportation to Golden Gate Park from all over the city. A map of all Muni lines can be found here –

SFMTA encourages concertgoers to take N Judah rail or 5/5R Fulton bus service to the festival. Going home, customers can take the N Judah rail or express to Civic Center BART on the 5 Fulton (boarding at Fulton/36th Ave and Fulton/30th Ave). Below is a link to the map that shows where the evening shuttles will pick up for the N Judah train and 5R Fulton Rapid line.

BART & AC Transit Transbay Express service the greater Bay Area (North, South and East). Depending on where you are coming from, take these suggested routes:

Coming from the East Bay

Option 1: Take BART to Civic Center Station (rates vary from location)
From McAllister Street and Jones Street, take Muni Bus #5 to 25th Avenue and Fulton Street
Enter the Park

Option 2: Take the AC Transit Transbay Express or F Line across the Bay Bridge
From Transbay Terminal walk to Montgomery Street Station
Take Muni Line N to 19th Avenue and Judah Street ($2.25)
Walk north on 19th Avenue to Golden Gate Park

Coming from the North Bay

Option 1: Take Golden Gate Transit Bus #70/71 to Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza. 
Transfer to MUNI route 28 to Daly City. 
Exit the bus at Fulton and walk west to the festival entrance.

Coming from the South Bay

Take Caltrain to San Francisco Station (the end of the line)
The last southbound Caltrain train on Sunday departs San Francisco station at 9:15 pm. There are no additional services, please plan accordingly. View schedule information here!

Walk north on 19th Avenue to Golden Gate Park

VALET IT – Secure your bike in style. Outside Lands valet bike parking is located above Hellman Hollow (enter at intersection of Transverse and Overlook Drive). Valery is open each day of the festival from 10am ­- 12am.

PARK IT – There is additional “self park” bike parking along JFK from Transverse down to Stow Lake, on MLK (near the South Gate) and in Marx Meadow near the box office for you to park and lock your own bike. Remember to bring your own lock! Outside Lands is not responsible for any damaged or stolen bicycles parked inside Golden Gate Park.

If you're entering the Park from the south (Sunset District), enter at 25th Avenue and Lincoln Avenue. Turn left, then bear right onto Middle Drive to access the South Gate Venue Entrance.

If you're entering the Park from the north (Richmond District), enter at 25th Avenue and Fulton Street and walk along the pedestrian path to enter at the Main Entrance. You can also enter at 36th Avenue and Fulton Street and walk up John F. Kennedy Drive towards Lindley Meadow. The Main Entrance will be on your right.
