Signups for volunteering with Clean Vibes (cleanvibes.com), the festival waste diversion experts, are now open. In 2017, with the help of an amazing team of volunteers, Clean Vibes diverted 91% of the festival waste from the landfill! Join the team and help keep Outside Lands clean and green.

Note that this year, all positions during event hours only require two shifts – which means you have one day free to enjoy the entire day’s event. A fully refundable deposit and $25 non-refundable application fee are required for all positions.
CLEAN VIBES DURING SHOW TRASH TALKER®
Volunteers will work TWO 6-hour shifts over the course of the weekend and manage a waste reclamation station in order to direct attendees on the proper disposal of their waste – in recycling, compost, or landfill.
CLEAN VIBES DURING SHOW TABLE BUSSER
Volunteers will work TWO 6-hour shifts over the course of the weekend and will be stationed near a picnic table area within the park and will work in conjunction with Clean Vibes crew and Clean Vibes Trash Talker® Volunteers to ensure the area remains clean and safe.
CLEAN VIBES DURING SHOW CLEAN UP
Volunteers will work TWO 6-hour shifts over the course of the weekend and will be working with a large group of staff and volunteers collecting and consolidating bags of compost, recycling and trash and also sweeping the grounds of all the loose litter during the event.
CLEAN VIBES NIGHTLY AFTER SHOW CLEAN UP
Volunteers will work THREE 5-hour shifts each night after the music is over and will be working with a large group of staff and volunteers collecting and consolidating bags of trash and recycling and sweeping the grounds of all the loose litter after the event ends each evening.
CLEAN VIBES TRADING POST Volunteers will work THREE 5-hour shifts over the course of the weekend. The Clean Vibes Trading Post, a 501(c)3 non-profit, works in partnership with Clean Vibes, LLC. Volunteers will work with existing crew to engage and educate festival attendees. Through environmental education and incentive based programming, the CVTP engages festival patrons in creating a cleaner and greener festival atmosphere.
