Know Before You Go
Whether you’re an old friend of Ranger Dave’s or getting ready to experience your very first Outside Lands, it’s always a good idea to make sure you’ve crossed every T and registered every wristband before you head to Golden Gate Park this weekend.
Here are a few things you need to know before you go…
Wristband registration is required for all attendees and ensures a smooth process when entering the Festival each day and makes sure that your Outside Lands experience remains yours.
Wristband registration protects you in case you lose or damage your wristband. Only the person who registers their wristband or the original purchaser can be issued a replacement wristband. We don’t know it’s yours unless you register it!
REGISTER YOUR WRISTBAND AT: sfoutsidelands.com/wristbands
Still need to pick up your wrist band or looking to purchase one? Stop by the box office. The festival box office located just inside Golden Gate Park at 25th & Fulton. There will be no parking on Crossover Drive for the Box Office.
BOX OFFICE HOURS:
Wednesday 8/8 12pm – 8pm
Thursday 8/9 12pm – 8pm
Friday 8/10 10am – 9pm
Saturday 8/11 10am – 9pm
Sunday 8/12 10am – 9pm
Everybody entering the festival site will be subject to search. Our primary goal is to create a safe and secure environment for all festival attendees. To ensure this, there will be onsite security provided by local police and peer security companies. If you are experiencing any problems whatsoever, locate a festival staff member.
Clear Bag Policy
In line with best practices at major festivals and athletic events, Outside Lands Festival has implemented a CLEAR BAG POLICY meant to enhance safety and security and entrance efficiency for attendees
While we would prefer that fans come bag free, we realize that is not always possible. Help us to help you enjoy the festival by only bringing the following types and size bags:

Getting To And From the Festival
With extremely limited parking inside the park and in the surrounding neighborhoods, we encourage you to take public or alternate means of transportation. Check out all your options on our Travel and Accommodations Page.
No In & Outs (Re-entry Policy)
For the safety and security of the festival, attendees are not allowed to enter the festival gates more than once each day (i.e. re-entry is not allowed). However, if you absolutely must leave the festival and need to return the same day, BEFORE YOU EXIT the festival grounds, you must speak to a Gate Security Supervisor at one of the two main entrances so that you can get scanned out of the festival. Remember you will not be allowed to return to the festival grounds if you leave the site WITHOUT getting properly scanned out at one of the two main entrances to the festival.
Download the Mobile App
Download the 2018 Outside Lands Mobile App to build your schedule, browse restaurant menus, order drinks in advance and much more. New this year, we've partnered with Go Game to build a scavenger hunt in Golden Gate Park! Search Outside Lands in your smartphone’s app store.
Help Keep The Scene Clean
As we enjoy this amazing weekend of music, be sure to remember that we are guests in this beautiful park. We will be making every effort to keep the park and festival grounds clean and safe throughout the weekend, but we need your help. Please throw items away when you are done with them and please recycle and compost! Leave no trace.
Rock Medicine will be on-site to help you with any type of medical problem. Rock Medicine has been providing medical services at concerts since the days of Grateful Dead. If you need assistance, head to the nearest medical tent, or look for a festival staff member.
No Camping & No Overnight Parking
There is no overnight parking allowed inside of Golden Gate Park or at Ocean Beach. And camping in the city of San Francisco is prohibited (San Francisco Park Code, Article 3, Section 3.12). Please do not sleep in your car. Find appropriate accommodations.
