Richmond District

A favorite destination for festival attendees heading into the park, the top of Clement Street in the Inner Richmond neighborhood is known for its delectable cheap eats from around the world and one-of-a-kind locally owned boutiques. Pop by Park Life for a hip designer tee or stroll over to Foggy Notion for eco body products to protect your face from the elements. And you don't want to miss Green Apple, which just happens to be one of the best independent book and magazine stores on the West Coast. Make sure to come back on Sundays for the new farmers market, offering fresh regional produce from 8am to 2pm. Balboa Street Merchants

The main street of our neighborhood Balboa Street shopping corridor is only about 8 blocks long but we have everything you want in your walkable quaint neighborhood: 2 award-winning bakeries, 7 popular restaurants, a fantastic yoga school you can drop-in, 2 cafés, an independent movie theater, a flower shop and a market.

Clement St. Merchants

Located just north of Golden Gate Park and south of the Presidio, the Inner Richmond is surrounded by the most beautiful natural greenscapes found in San Francisco. Clement Street is the perfect spot to grab a bite and lively stroll to experience a day in the life of a local San Franciscan.

Green Apple Books

Founded in 1967, Green Apple is one of SF's oldest independent booksellers and is packed full of treasures. From vinyl records, to graphic novels to the newest fiction, their comprehensive inventory brings travelers in from around the world.

Park Life

Foggy Notion

The name of the store, Foggy Notion, refers to Alissa’s inspirations of music (Velvet Underground), design (sewing notions), and her favorite San Francisco weather phenomenon. Foggy Notion carries a unique mix of handmade and vintage goods that can't be missed.

NOISE

NOISE is a family-operated record store, art gallery, & live music performance space in San Francisco's Richmond District. Owner, Dan, is also a music educator and full time working musician here in San Francisco for 15 years and counting. Their vinyl selection is curated by individuals who have dedicated decades to discovering, producing, enjoying and sharing music with the world. Angelina’s Deli - Cafe

Angie Rando opened Angelinas Deli Cafe in 1983 inspired by childhood trips to the local deli with her father. 40 years later, Angelina's is a full service Deli, Cafe, and catering service with a strong relationship with it's surrounding neighborhood. They even use honey harvested from hives in Golden Gate Park!

Fiorella

Opened by a pair of friends in 2015, Fiorella is a neighborhood Italian restaurant specializing in wood-fired pizzas made with top quality ingredients. In addition to their flagship location on Clement St, the Fiorella team recently opened a location on the other side of the park in the Sunset District.

Sunset District

San Francisco’s southwest corner is a hidden gem. Cradled in the fog, with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, the Outer Sunset has plenty to explore before and after the festival! Stay warm with some Shanghai Soup Dumplings from Kingdom of Dumpling, grab some unique coffee blends at Henry’s House of Coffee or Java Beach Café, or bring home a San Francisco souvenir with a “The Avenues” t-shirt from the Hard Wear Store. Before the festival, grab a hearty Breakfast Sandwich at Devil’s Teeth Baking Company, and walk across the street to Avenues Dry Goods, where you can find unique jewelry, home goods, and postcards. Once called the “Outside Lands,” the West side of San Francisco has many great things to offer!

Outerlands is a gathering place for sea goers who seek warmth, shelter, food, and fellowship- a retreat from the saltwater chill, or a place to hang your hat after a long day's frolic in the sun. Visit to enjoy locally sourced, organic fare served in a cozy, handcrafted setting.

Polly Ann Ice Cream

For over fifty years, Polly Ann Ice Cream has been delighting residents and visitors alike with their collection of over 500 flavors of ice cream, all made by Polly Ann staff. If you’re feeling adventurous, spin the big wheel and see what flavor you land on. Polly Ann offers unique flavors such as lychee, black sesame, and pink lemonade. You can also get all of the classic flavors, and many with a twist.

Henry's House of Coffee

Six days a week, Henry hand-roasts premium blends, some of them only available in rare locations. For 45 years, master coffee roaster Henry Kalebjian and his family have been roasting daily in their Noriega St. store. Customers come by regularly to watch Henry roast, and the store has a loyal following of customers that travel from throughout the Bay Area to the store. This hand-roasted coffee has been voted "Best of the Bay" by San Francisco Bay Guardian. The only way to describe the difference between the coffee we drink on a daily basis and hand-roasted coffee is to compare the quality of fast-food to a gourmet meal.

Irving Pizza (aka “SF Hole In The Wall Pizza”)

Irving Pizza was born in NYC, but raised in San Francisco. Open into the wee hours of the morning, for your convenience, Irving Pizza offers not only pizza, but hot sandwiches, burgers, salads, desserts, and more. Recent specials include the "Irish Special" with chicken, ham, sweet corn, and bell peppers.

PPQ

PPQ serves up fresh Vietnamese food including Five-Spice Chicken, Spring Rolls, and their delicious varieties of Phở noodle soup. Phở (pronounced “fuh”) is a Vietnamese noodle soup consisting of broth, noodles, herbs and meat. Phở at PPQ has a variety of delicious ingredients including sprouts, lemon, jalapeno, basil, onions, cilantro and your choice of egg noodles, vermicelli or round noodles. You can have chicken, beef or seafood or even vegetarian Phở at PPQ. Don’t forget about the iced Vietnamese coffee!

Java Beach

Java Beach is an independent, mom ‘n pop shop co-owned by San Francisco husband and wife team, Patrick and Buffy Maguire. Ocean Beach is where they live, work and play. Their days are devoted to making Java Beach the best it can be. This process starts with the coffee, where they engage in meticulous standards of sourcing, cupping and roasting. They apply these high standards to every aspect at Java Beach. Their menu features an array of unique coffees, bagels, sandwiches, salads and fresh pastries.

Taco Shop @ Underdogs

From the taco done Nick’s Way to one of their special burritos, the kitchen prepares each item with careful attention. Meats are slow cooked and infused with flavor. Produce and fish are fresh as they are purchased each morning to ensure an unsurpassed quality. Even the margaritas are prepared fresh and for each customer using agave nectar. The result is a mouthwatering goodness that will leave you wanting to come back for more!

Pizza Place on Noriega

The chef/owners, who both live nearby, opened The Pizza Place on Noriega because they wanted to serve their community and make it a gathering place for all. Specials include “The Rocha” with kale, garlic, roasted potatoes, bacon, tomato sauce and cheese; and the “Meathead” with pepperoni, sausage, ham, salami, red onion, tomato sauce and cheese as well as many other delicious pizzas and appetizers. Pizza is also served on a “create your own” basis as well as by the slice.

Marnee Thai

Marnee Thai is one of the first restaurants specializing in Thai food to open in San Francisco. For the past 30 years Chef Chai has been serving award winning Thai specialties in the Sunset.

Tazaki Sushi

Located in the Outer Sunset, Tazaki Sushi serves a variety of Japanese fare. Their Sizzling Fish Specials are served on a sizzling hot plate and comes with your choice of Chilean Sea Bass, Ahi Steak, Butterfish, Swordfish, Salmon, Orange Roughy, Halibut, Ono, Scallop Steak, Monk Fish, Mahi Mahi or Tazaki Clams. Tazaki Sushi also carries classic Maki and Nigiri sushis as well as Udon, Cold Soba and Ramen.

Devil's Teeth

Devil’s Teeth is open every day from 7am – 4pm, and serves Bicycle coffee, Scharffen Berger hot chocolate, breakfast, lunch and sweets and desserts. They are famous for their Breakfast Sandwich – two eggs scrambled with cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon, all on a homemade buttermilk biscuit. They have BLTs, chicken curry salad, lasagna, and a delicious cinnamon roll among many other sweet treats. Stop by on Sunday mornings for freshly made beignets. Enjoy all of these treats while sitting outside in their award-winning parklet!

Kingdom of Dumpling

Chinese Dumpling (Jiaozi) is a traditional Chinese food and is one of the most widely loved foods in the world. Shanghai-style dumplings are served up hot and fresh at Kingdom of Dumpling. Enjoy their Pork Dumplings, Chicken and Corn Dumplings, or their famous Shanghai Soup Dumplings along with a crispy Onion Pancake.

Celia's by the Beach

Serving Mexican comfort food and margaritas since 1960, Celia’s is a popular destination in the Outer Sunset. Celia’s uses fresh ingredients and family recipes to serve up classics like enchiladas, burritos and fajitas. They also offer “north of the border” options such as their Guacamole Chicken Burger and their Deluxe Burger along house specialties such as Pollo en Crema and Steak a la Mexicana. Of course, Celia’s by the Beach also offers surf and turf!

Palm City

Palm City is a neighborhood gathering space, wine shop, and Hoagie provider located in the Outer Sunset. Heads up, they stop hoagie service on Mondays and Tuesdays to make room for "Mortadella Mondays"!
